Up until very recently, I had a Paypal account which would allow me to accept instant Paypal payments (not credit card payments) in unlimited monthly amounts with no fees whatsoever and I could then transfer those incomimng payments to my linked checking account. Now suddenly, Paypal has limited the monthly incoming transfers to $500. They offer an upgraded account, but all incoming payments (even non-credit card payments) get charged roughly 3% per payment. Are there any reliable Paypal equivalents out there that will duplicate what Paypal used to do for me and that won't make people who want to send me cash jump through all sorts of crazy hoops? Alternative ways of earning PayPal money? I've been selling and buying on eBay for quite a long time, but I stopped doing that for about three months recently. I came back only to see that my debit card was suspended from eBay. I contacted them to ask why, and apparently they told me that I had an outstanding balance of £6.99 on my account. So, I told them I'm willing to pay that because it isn't that high. At the moment I hardly have any money in my bank, so paying with debit card will not be a possibility. I could try with a cheque or postal order (that's check and money order for americans), but unfortunately my printer isn't working at the moment so I can print out the receipt and send it with my postal payment. That means that my only choice is to pay with PayPal. Now, I currently have only 17p in my PayPal account, so what can I do to afford the £6.99 balance? I tried eBid but that's a CRAP auction site - you register, upgrade to seller account and then you're trapped, you can't even cancel your account from the website. I can't use eBay obviously because my debit card is suspended, and I only have one card. What I need is a quick way of getting that £6.99 goal. I could possibly sell something digital, or maybe physical - but that doesn't really matter because all I need is money for my PayPal regardless if it's selling or not. By the way, I'm only looking for stuff in the UK (United Kingdom) only (or atleast UK including other countries).

Is Ebay and Paypal in antitrust violation? Ebay disallows it's sellers who sell in ebay's so called auction format from recovering Paypal fees or for that matter the ebay fees. The reasons ebay gives for this is that they are not a true auction, (then why is it called an auction?). It might be acceptable somewhat that the ebay fee may not be totally recoverable, as cost of advertising. However the Paypal fee should be totally recoverable. While denying it's sellers from reclaiming Paypal fees, Ebay/Paypal also disallow sellers from listing GreenZap as a payment option. GreenZap fees are flat rate fees making GreenZap a good competitive alternative to Paypal. Is Ebay/Paypal in conflict of interest or in antitrust violation? Also is this fiar, Ebay/Paypal are profiting on top of their own fees and shipping cost when payments are made via Paypal, as Paypal fees are a percentage based on the total cost which includes shipping cost and ebay's own fees thereby skimming profit off their own fee, there's probably a legal term for this.

Ebay and paypal are raising fees, are unrealiable in disputes and in some cases freeze accounts, for 3 months, with monies in them. I find their customer services useless and paypal is probably the worst payment method i've used. look out if you have a paypal dispute, they'll freeze your account, ignore your side of the dispute and give your money away without any satisfying resolution, they control YOUR money and yet, when they are in error there is nothing you can do.
