Work from home moms...what do you do?

I currently have a job that has me working evenings but my income, along with my husband's, is still not making ends meet. I need to find something that I can do from home during the days. Our goal as a family is for me to eventually become a stay at home mom all day. We can't financially do that right now but that's our goal. I was wondering is any of you experienced stay at home moms out there are also work at home moms? If so do you have any suggestions for things I can do from home. I've seen a few scams already so any advice would be helpful. Thank you, Thank you.

  1. I'm a freelance writer. It doesn't bring much but I can't devote too much time to it either. It really depends on how much infrastructure & support you have.
  2. I'm a single mother and I'm also a work-at-home mom, doing medical transcription. My son is 16 so he can basically entertain himself while I'm working, but if you have little ones it's going to be more challenging. The money is decent but you will get burned out eventually. I've been doing it for 17 years, but am in nursing school now. Good luck! It's not an easy job but if you have a knack for spelling and grammar, I think you'd do fine.
  3. I do business to business telemarketing from home, on commission. I usually work about 16 hours a week and average between $10-15/an hour. Unfortunately, I came across my job by luck. I was working at a staffing agency as a hiring coordinator. The company I'm at now was using our agency to find at home agents. I had just found out I was pregnant and had been trying to find at home or part time work options. I got permission from my boss at the staffing agency to send my resume in with the others. I ended up getting hired for the position with a start date of a few months out so that I could work a bit more at the staffing agency before leaving.
  4. A lot of moms these days have left the traditional jobs and have picked up these work at home jobs....depending upon your skills , experience and the time and efforts you want to put in there are a few options for you :- 1. If you are good at computer programming then go for those freelance websites where you can sell your services - programming/webdesigning and earn good amount of money 2. If you want to earn some easy money then just sign-up for free GPTs...to complete surveys and refer more people to join (this is not MLM) and earn money as commisions....remember its free to join and minimum payout is also just $10...(check out the source at the bottom if you want) 3. If you are good at negotiating/purchase/selling..... purchase and sell items on ebay...(purchase items on lesser/discounted price and sell them on higher prices) 4. If you are good at writing...then do some freelancing work as a copywriter.... 5. If you are a web designer then build your own website/blog...and earn money via google adsense and sell banners on your website....(use good SEO technics) The easiest of them all is obviously just signing up for free GPTs where you just need to complete few surveys and refer people to earn...but beware of the fraud sites and scam....look out for the forum @ www.gptboycott.com before joining any of these GPTs..
  5. I do Mary Kay. I found it to be much more then selling make up. I love being able to work alongside my family and other obligation. I was able to quit my full time job and it gives me sometime to be someone other then Mom
  6. My husband and I are in a home based business that we enjoy. It is a business called YTB. (your travel biz) It helps bring in extra income for us. We have four children all 14 and under. My husband works full time and is building our fortune in the evenings. Eventually, he will quite his full time job and will be his own boss! YTB is not a get rich quick scheme. We want to help others to accomplish their goals and to get out of debt. We want to see people help themselves and better their lives in the process. Any business is based on you and how much effort you want to put into it. If you are willing and ready to work , or if you still have questions, contact us. It has been a pleasure and I hope that you find what you are looking for. Our email is ...(sambartravel@mchsi.com)
