For the "work from home" moms?

My hubby starts work at 230pm and the kids get home at 4pm. I work an hour away from home and dont want to take the chance of getting fired because of me always needing to leave early for one of them. Sick, activities, teacher meetings etc. I'd love to work from home that way I can always be avialable to them. But I dont know where to start looking. Is there any work from home jobs thats not boring??? Any suggestions? Mature answers only please!

4. Well, I am a WAHM (work at home mom) myself, and I will tell you...the most important thing is to figure out what you are passionate about. I'm sure you've heard the old adage "If you love your work, then it's no longer work". That's what you should strive for--not to just bring home a paycheck. I have several jobs that I work from home, and one of the things I do is event coordinating. That is definitely not boring. However, this type of job may not be the easiest to find. I transitioned to that position in the same company I was with before I had my first baby. Another job that I had (but just quit) was data entry. I HATED it! Everyone says that it would be so easy, but it felt like a zillion years when it had only been 15 minutes. I heard about this job through word of mouth (it is a local company in my area), so that may not be the easiest type of job to find either. I am very passionate about food, and so I am a distributor for a company that makes handmade food mixes. I was drawn to it because there was no start-up cost, and I love the food. Also, I am able to sample the products and craft shows and I don't have to do home parties (which I seriously hate). My favorite "job" that doesn't feel like a job is the website I just launched. It is definitely not a get-rich-quick thing, though. It could be six months or more before you see any income. You have to enjoy writing and you have to find a niche that you truly love. 10. Hi Jessenia, Are you completely overwhelmed yet with all these suggestions? ha ha There are an awful lot of choices, and some of them are pretty useless (to put it kindly). I went through several awful choices that sounded promising, but were pretty much just scams. Anyway, like one of the other girls mentioned, I found a way to start my own business by building a website. Believe me, I didn't have the first idea on how to do it, but after only 6 months I've got over 200 pages and am starting to see some income - slow but steady (like most new businesses). It gradually increases each month, and most of the hard work is done. Now I will just do maintainance on this site and start another one soon on a different subject. You mentioned you don't want to be bored. That is the great thing about building your own website. You can do it on ANY subject, so you definitely choose what DOESN'T bore you. :) Believe it or not, my first site is all about chocolate candy.
