Good evening sirs / madams, This is a warning to the public from the met, interpol and trading standards in the UK to avoid dealing with a company by the name of paypal, as we have received a number of compalints relating to fraudulent trading by this company, invloving the illegal and inapproriate freezings of its clients accounts, theft from clients, etc. If you happen to be outside their offices one day and you see a member of their staff, please do not approacfh personally, although they are not considered likely to be armed or dangerous, but you may be alerting them to the fact we are investigating them. We are already aware and theres no need for any further action, other than not to use their services, as theres a real risk you could fall victim to them. Whilst it may be true that they do have happy clients who had no problems, there are others who are not in that fortunate position, its just a bit dodgy Sleep well and dont have nightmares PC patel

- I have heard many horror stories about Pay Pal from people I know and never use it.
- I have been using PayPal for years. I follow the rules so I don't have problems. This is just an viral email sent by a person who has had a problem with PayPal. It should not be taken seriously. PayPal is a large company. Sure, there will be some issues now and then, but the VAST majority of transactions go smoothly. It is now owned by Ebay, so they are not some fly by night company. What is your question? This isn't a public forum. It is a place to ask questions.
- Saying that PP employees are armed and dangerous is being a bit paranoid. However, with all of the civil lawsuits PP has endured in the states (and lost, by the way) your advice to steer clear of them is well founded. The problem is, there really isn't another company out there that does what PP does. Web merchants can either choose to get a merchant account (expensive!) or use PP (convenient and cheap). I believe that their infrastructure is crumbling, however. You can't run a business the way they do for long without everything exploding in your face. I'm glad other governments are investigating their practices.
