how can I convince my boss to let me work from home for 2 days.(12 hours)?
I work at small company (30 employee). My boss is happy with my work. Last time at salary review I asked her to let me work from home for only one day. She said no. She said, "when I work from home I spent time in laundring & smoking & same will happen with you". I told her, "I love my work more than anything & this other house work stuff don't distract me" But still she said no. Now I am pregnant. I work 30 hours a week. My plan is work 18 hours in office & 12 hours from home. Like 3 days at work & 2 days at home. How to convince her or should I ask for higher salary & cut hours & work from home without telling her(if she didn't agreed to work from home) so that I will have less stress to finish my work?

- Just suck it up and work.!!!!!!!
- I just think you need to prove to her that you are productive from home. The pregnancy thing is a great way to convince her because then she doesn't have to let everyone work from home. Pay raise? I think you should forget asking for both if working from home is that important to you.
- Sounds like your boss is concerned about your productivity at home. To get around this, can you suggest a measurable quota of work? If you can meet those targets, she may be more comfortable. Ultimately, if you can get the work done, that's what counts. (I'm assuming that you don't have reason to be physically in the office every day, such as meeting clients or the like...) It would be more difficult to successfully ask for a raise unless you have a business case for that, such as taking on more responsibility. Good luck!
- Work 4 days for free.
- you have to proove her your work , that you are honest with you work. and she trust you . it wont b important for her that u work at home of office , 30 hours or 6 hours in week. she need progress. same was with me and i any time can go office or dont go . can leave office when even i want , i asked for laptop and prooved i need it so i got :) so same i will advice you to make trust and give progress to her.
