Make Money On Ebay

ebay? scam?

ok i am sellin a psp on ebay. I clearly stated that i would only ship in the us... but i keep getting emails offering crazy amount to buy this and ship out side the us. it seems a bit fishy that ppl would want to pay couple houndred to get an used psp. How can you REALLy tell whne offers like that are scams???

  1. Stick to your guns & do not ship outside the US.
  2. If you're set up with eBay properly, you have to receive the money before you ship your item. Look into your setup to make sure that's the way things will work. It could be that php's are not easly available in some countries, and every country has people with extra money for gadgets like this.
  3. It could be a scam, but agree to one of the offers and see if they pay the money. If they do, then ship the PSP. If they don't pay you money, you don't have to ship the PSP, so you can keep it and resell it to an honest person. It's pretty much impossible, however, to tell if the offers are scams or not.
  4. yup. sounds like a scam. I get that alot of craigslist. I think its better if you just stick to your ship it to US only. and if they ask you to wire money, or they will send you a check then don't do it. They like to say " I would like to get this for my kid in Africa, Can u kindly ship it there for me and I'll wire you some money" SCAM!!! hahaha Good Luck. also check the buyer's ratings
  5. they are phishing plus they know that if you do ship out of the US it would be harder to catch them if they are scamming. Video games have a high rate of scamming on ebay so just make sure if you take paypal you only ship to a confirmed address and get tracking or delivery confirmation. This way you are protected with paypal if someone is using a stolen credit card or hijacked account.
