Could this be an eBay scam? $50.00 gift card for $1.00?
The following link is a product for sale on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=180163546590&Category=31411&_trksid=p3907.m29 How can a gift worth $50.00 be sold for $1.00? There is more information further down on the page. I'm new to eBay, so... ...is this a scam of some sort?? Thanks!

- It claims to be selling you the "secret" IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!You can also see that the seller has an awful feedback rate...you can even take a look at the actual complaints....beware

- all this person is selling is information on how to get gift cards or rebate cards. in other words its a scam.
- Yes. This is a scam. You don't get the $50 gift card, you get information on how to get a $50 gift card. Big difference. Save your dollar.
- My guess is it has to be a scam. What it so outrageous ... to good to be true, then more than likely it is. Ask a few questions to the seller? What kind of gift car? Is it his? how did he get it? Depending on his answers you'll glean the truth of the matter. Gift cards nowadays have magnetic strips on them but it wouldnt be hard for a counterfit copies to be created.
- This sounds a bit fishy. I sold a $75 gift card for less than face value on ebay once because it was a gift.
- Didn't you read this part? 'PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THIS IS NOT A REAL GIFT CARD But instead, a chance at getting as many as you have time to go get....FOR FREE' ps. It's a bit like someone trying to sell you 'possible' winning numbers on the lottery.....
- First of all they are not selling the card just the information on how to get them. I have no idea what that entails, perhaps filling out survey forms or heaven knows what. If you have the time and .99 give it a try. I just wouldn't get your hopes up.
- BEWARE..any time something sounds to "good to be true" it probably is .It doesn't even look like a real e bay page. I would never deal with some one who is an unproven seller
- yes it is a scam. you will get used to seeing things like this on ebay along with many more scams. Just beware of alot of sellers on there. Take a look at the sellers feedbacks.
- SCAM! It doesn't say they are selling you the gift card. They are selling information on how to get a gift card. Most likely they will send you a link to one of those take 8 million surveys and get a gift card sites.
- I bought "free airline tickets" off ebay once (winning the bid for about $30). But I was actually buying a Weight watchers diet recipe CD and a free gift of airline tickets. When I received the CD, a paper said "now send in $25 to this travel agent and we'll tell you how to get your free airline tickets..." I never pursued but I felt scammed. SOO - yeah, it's probably a scam.
- I learned this from my mom: "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is"! Don't do it Sweetie. I'd hate to see a sweet kid like yourself fall victim to some scam...even if it is $1.00!
