Make Money On Ebay

Have any of you guys ever received ebay e-mail scams?

I have received a few e-mails claiming to be from e-bay. I do have an account with them. The e-mail usually has the same message stating something like, "It seems like someone is trying to log onto e-bay using your account and blah blah blah and please verify that you are the true owner of this account by logging in". So, you click on this thing and leads you to a so-called e-bay page where you have to enter a lot of personal information like social security number, credit card number, etc. I was like WTF? Why would they need to know all that? So, I got suspicious and didn't enter anything because I'm not comfortable entering personal info over the net. I don't mind entering things like name, address, etc. but definitely not my SS# or credit card #. Another scam I got was supposedly from the IRS stating that after some calculations, I was due a certain amount of refund. I didn't fall for that because why would the IRS send it through e-mail? Please share your experiences.

  1. I get them all the time, Saying that my account has been suspended & it will stay that way until I give them new bank & credit card numbers, Just ignore them like I do.
  2. I get my share of them from time to time. Since I don't have an eBay account, I just forward the message to spoof@ebay.com then get it spammed into the trash. Some joke the phishers are trying to pull on me. I never fell for that kind of stuff.
  3. I am sure you get a good lesson on this , cause i got lots of problems on the same thing or almost ,DO NOT trust any thing like that while logging on Internet, Gangs waiting for you once you start to do so
