Is buying car subwoofers on Ebay a good ideal?

I searched on Ebay and found "new" Kicker subwoofers for a very low price. Can I trust Ebay to buy working car amps and speakers?

  1. i would get the subwoofers directly from a shop at least then you can inspect them b4 u buy.
  2. nope. buying at ebay will just cost you much for quality that stinks.. its much better if you buy it directly from a shop. in there you can see the product personaly. and the sales person can assist you with hot/not functions too.. its hassle free if you buy it from the shop. they also have warranty. and you dont have to pay for the shipping fees.
  3. I dont think its a horrible idea you will receive the product and it will preform as it says it will and be in the condition it says its in but i personally would much rather buy my stuff off of onlinecarstereo.com because they have a wide range of products and the cheapest prices around i would suggest going there and looking...
  4. if you want to buy a Kicker product then go to their website and click where to buy. it will give you the authorized internet dealers and when you buy from them you get your full warranty
  5. i got my kicker l7 from online shop on ebay n it warranted i've had it for a few months now no problems, even if there is something wrong with it, it does'nt mean you can't send it back and they will send you a new one, i also got an amp from ebay no problems with that n thats warranted i've had that for bout 8 months still no problems, even so if you wanna hear them go to audio shop test em out then buy on ebay easiest way
  6. what freddy said ---dang freddy are you my long lost twin
  7. I don't see a big problem with purchasing car audio off of e-bay. I would make sure that the seller has a good rating with plenty of car audio sales and at least 98% positive feedback. I would also read the listing to see whether the products are new, "like-new", used, or refurbished. If it doesn't say, I would e-mail the seller and find out. I would e-mail them anyways just to make sure its not refurbished. Also, pay with Paypal. With Paypal you are guaranteed to get what you pay for or you get your money back.
  8. Ebay is no different than buying from any other online places or even a shop....with the exception you cant physically see or touch before you buy. IN FACT,there are a few AUTHORIZED dealers such as kicker, rockford(high desert audio), etc....They offer factory warranties and everything. Dont listen to the NAY sayers....There is a reason that Ebay is the LARGEST online purchase place on the net....beside Amazon. EVERYTHING Ive purchased was from an ebay dealer and have NOT had ANY problems. The only problems you may have is when you buy used products from individuals who are cleaning out their closets and what not....I have got a couple of amps that didnt work from average people....but for the most part,I was refunded..ALSO if you feel your were ripped off,you can file a claim with paypal/ebay and they will judge the case and rule fairly...The buyer usually comes out on top...its the seller that usually gets s c r e w e d. Another great thing about Ebay is the RARE car audio parts I get that arent made anymore....Back when amps were amps!Ive got a great collection.
