What happens if i decide not to send an ebay item?
im buying something on ebay. ive gotten scammed on ebay before. once the paypal payment goes through, what would happen if the guy just decided not to send me my item? could anything really be done? I wanna buy something from ecrater too, with the same concern. Can i trust sites that have individuals selling personal items, or is it safer to steer clear?

- you can never be 100% sure, but to be safe, I'd recommend buying from a powerseller. They are the ones who sell a LOT of items with positive reviews and satisfaction. 99.9% of people are nice, genuine people selling an item, I'd say you should be fine. just look out for the seller rating
- Your question is worded one way (with you as the seller) and your description is worded another (with you as the buyer). However whenever a seller decides for no reason to not send an item that would be a major violation of Ebay's terms and they could probably have their account closed. It's important to buy from people who have good feedback and a track record. I think buying from someone who hasn't bought or sold before is risky either because they may not know the rules OR because they are someone who has many Ebay accounts and they are not to be trusted which is why they have a "new" account.
- Hello , Anytime you can't touch and feel so to speak ... a product , you are risking to buy . However , a popular seller will have many sales and looks good and trustworthy that way . Also , always take the time to review the sellers' customers reviews . In fact read reviews on any product before buying online . I almost bought a $260.00 3 season series of a show aired in the 80s .... come to find out .. the original soundtrack was elimimated . A new soundtrack was put in with 80s techno junk and the original sountrack was of 60s music . .... glad I read the reviews !
- well 2 things, one check the guys ratings if its good don't worry about it because you should receive. Also paying with paypal you get insurance with them, which they help you with that with a free $5,000. So you wont loose any money. If that doesn't work then you can always DECLINE your credit Card or file a Dispute which the credit card company will credit the money back to you, and they then will deal with PayPal to get everything straigh
- It doens't get any more personal than selling the contents of Grandma's house. I am a small time seller. I take pride in my work, shipping packages etc. If you are intersted in something to buy, it doesn't matter which site, (boycott feebay), start talking with the buyer, ask a few questions, even if it has nothing to do with the item you want. You will know by the responses from the buyer if you feel comfortable with them, enough to purchase from them. If you really can't be sure, buy a cheap item and see what the selling experience will be for you. Good Luck and give the small guy a chance. Please.....
