How do you do direct deposit on Ebay?

Hello all, I am considering selling my old monitor on ebay for some extra and maybe much needed money. But i have recently heard of Ebay users being scammed by PayPal and people sending false checks through the mail and am now wary of using ebay. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if transfering funds from the buyers account is both and option and if it is the safest way to recieve payments. Thanks and have a good one.

  1. I was using paypal at one time, too. As an alternative to paypal, try Bidpay. They're not as streamlined as paypal (since ebay and paypal are apparently involved in some kind of contract). The big advantage (in my opinion) is that instead of holding the money in an account under your name, they deal directly with your bank accounts. If you wanted to take checks, the safe way to do it is to give the check a week to clear. If it doesn't clear, the buyer doesn't get his/her item. Ebay will back you up on this, too. Money orders are fairly safe, and some have touch-sensitive authenticity marks to verify that they're real. Since money orders are purchased by the buyer, there's no chance they can bounce.
  2. I have never had a problem with it and as well, I have had no complaints when I've been the buyer.
