Make Money On Ebay

Question about starting an eBay business?

My brother-in-law is in his early 50s, and spent most of his life as a painter. He has health problems that are preventing him from working and I'm trying to help him make money from home. Even though he knows little about the Internet, he expressed an interest in possibly selling on eBay as a business. He has at most a couple hundred dollars to invest in inventory. Is there something you can suggest that he could do well selling on eBay to make $100 or $200 a week?

  1. Ebay is a hit or miss opportunity that is really over-rated today. A lot of people look to drop-shippers for products and get scammed by most of them. My brother in law tried this for over a year, did EVERYTHING he could, paid for literature on how to be more effective, got hooked up with what he thought was a legit shipper and still ended up in the red. I fully understand where you are coming from and everybody seems to think you can make money on ebay, but it really is not that simple. If you do not have a compelling product and a fair amount to pay for all the extras to get your site better views, you just end up being another minnow in the pond. Even more views does not mean you will get 'paying customers'. I would really ask that he give this some real hard study, especially if he knows little about the internet. Ebay listings have to be monitored for questions. People expect prompt answers and prompt shipping and someone ends up having to monitor the account constantly or risk bad feedback. Bad feedback will impact a seller's account adversely. It's not as easy as people make it out to be. ~jennifer Helping others create income from home through education of the system and how it really works.
  2. Post all you want and never worry about paying for listings that don't sell. No credit card requiered, get your own online store for .99 cents a month.
