ebay selling?
I sold a item on ebay and the buyer emailed me that the item did not work. I was not sitting by my computer waitng for someone to email me so I got the message the following day. I went to my ebay account and found that it was suspended without even a chance for a dispute. The buyer had left negative feedback saying that it took 10 days to get his item which in reality took 6 days as you have to wait to get your money. I contactacted ebay with the delivery conformation number and it did not matter even though there was proof that the buyer had lied. They told me in order to get my account right I would need to fax them a copy of my drivers license or another government document to verify who I was. I have been selling on ebay on and off for 4 years and they know who I am as they have my bank account info. This is ebays trust department that tells you not to send this info to anyone and they will not ask. What should I do?

- Sounds like a scam. Report to, spoof@ebay.com Just forward the whole message. You do not need to editorialize.
- call and speak to a customer service rep.
- don't send the info... if there is a number to call then call them.. u providing the receipt or confirmation should be enough.. it sounds like a setup.. or why not just start all over again and use a diff registration name or username...
- Send an email to spoof@ebay.com and explain the situation. DO NOT send your personal information. They may respond with an answer to your situation or what department you need to speak with.
- i have had something similar happen. i did not need to fax anything to anyone to get it fixed. this sounds fishy to me. i wouldnt send them anything. i would rather start over with a zero feedback rating then send that info to anyone.
- Don't do it, although something must of happened to get your account suspended. I would give them a ring and physically talk to someone and ask them whats going on. Sounds very strange in my opinion though
- care to tell us your seller ID so we can look for ourselves? It seems unlikely this would happen on a first offence. For a strike against you it must go through the dispute process and will need to happen at least 3 times for them to act. For driving licence proof that is normally one of the things asked for if you forget your password and cannot answer the security question. i would not send anyone that. I'd rather make a new ID up and start again. Sandy Ps. As far as spoof@ebay.co.uk or com goes it is a waste of time. Try sending them an email that you know came from them and see what happens. I have done this and even that came back as spam. It is automated and a waste of time. Anyone who thinks I am wrong try it yourself.
- I was wondering about that cuz I received the same thing in my email. Instead they did not suspend my account. I call ebay and they told me what the email said that is that. They are very rude. Poor customer service. Plus I think they are pulling up some kind of a scam.
