- eBay is a great way to provide an income from home. I am on a forum that has over 250 eBay sellers on it and there are those who make a nice living selling on eBay. Of course, there are those who don't, it is a matter of getting to know the eBay market. Once you get the hang of it, selling on eBay is super easy. The eBay Coach has a ton of free resources available to teach you how to make money on eBay. She also has a VIP Library that is very inexpensive and is FULL of information. You can visit the VIP Library here (this is an affiliate link): http://payloadz.com/go/jump?id=351578&merch_id=&aff_id=15540 You can check out the FREE forum here: http://ebaycoach.freeforums.org/ Good luck!
- I used to sell used computers, then GPS Units, then Poker Supplies on ebay. It is VERY difficult to make any money. I have found that I can buy used cars on craigslist (all under $1000 and most under $500) and resell them on craigslist for a profit of $500 - $1000. It's EASY money and I can sell a car every three days. Depending on your location, you may need a dealers license if it takes off for you like it has for me. Do a search for parttimecardealer on google and look for a PDF copy of the book (free). I used this book to get started but decided NOT to sell on ebay as suggested. The trick is to find a craigslist ad with 0-1 pictures. These people just want to unload their cars. Then take it home and clean it inside REALLY well. Think crevice tool from your vaccuum. Then take about 25 pictures and create an html ad (frontpage works great for this). If you paste the html code into craiglist you can post as many pictures as you want. My cars sell within 12 hours of posting the ads. Try to buy Hondas and Toyotas from 1988 - 1992. They can be found for less than $1000 and sell for $1500+
- Hello. Vicki A's answer is a good one. Be sure to read it all. Successful selling on eBay is going to going to depend on a couple of factors. What you are trying to sell and how much you are willing to put into it. If you're selling the same stuff everyone one else is selling, you may not do so well. Of course, if you can do a better job then everyone else of convincing buyers they want to come to you instead of the rest of the pack, you can still do well. Selling on eBay is just like any other business. The more you put into it, the better you will do. The "Field of Dreams" mentality (if I post it, they will come) doesn't work. You will have to work at it. But I think you will find that you will find it to be fun work. The main thing I would say is to find something you like. Find your "niche". Most people who are successful selling on eBay are the one's who are selling and promoting things they like. For example, I have always loved buttons. I couple of years ago, I bought a button making machine and started making my own buttons. I love coming up with new ideas and when I see people buying them, I know they are enjoying my work too! Ask yourself what you like. Scrapbooking? Knitting or crocheting? Vinatage toys? Find something you are passionate about, then look at how you can promote that on eBay. You can sell the supplies others need to do the things you like. Or you can use those yard sale trips you make to find your own treasures to find items that would go well on eBay. There are lot's of ideas. If you put your mind to it, you'll find your own ideas that will allow you to make money on eBay. It's very rewarding in many ways, so start thinking about what you would like to do. Start out slow and build from there. I hope this helps you. Best wishes to you and good luck. Robbie
