Who has been conned from buying on ebay and didnt get to catch the culprit till the end?

i have...share urs? and wat actions did u take to TRY to catch em.. (Not paypal users coz i know u can track em from there).. This is to the banking transfers ones.. And are there many cases happening ? Im never buying from ebay again...urgh And guys...pls dont make this question a place to put in ebay names...just ur experience yea...chill chill

3. I've had two big $$$ eBay transactions go sour. One time I paid with Paypal and couldn't force a refund because I paid with a bank transfer and the guy closed his account; the second time I paid with a money order. The first time I drove all the way to his house, from Knoxville TN to Virginia Beach, only to find out he moved a month prior! I gave the info to the local police and a week later the guy sent me a refund! He supposedly went to jail for a month...I was supposed to testify but then I didn't have to show up. The second guy, I found his personal contact info on Google, or rather, his parents info! Turns out the item I bought (an Xbox) was from a 17-year-old ecstacy dealer who didn't actually have an Xbox...fake auction! His dad was surprisingly understanding and sent me a money order back for the full amount! I've been pretty lucky with not getting screwed out of a lot of money on eBay, but I have had some interesting stories to tell as you can see!

I gave her money to ship this top through money order...she was supposed to ship it 2 days after receiving payment.....why did she not return my emails until i put a complaint on her 3 weeks later? ( I waited THAT long just to say I gave her the benefit of the doubt) Then she had the audacity to tell me that she wasn't a thief and that she already sent the item and gave me some fake tracking number....well 2 weeks later (a total of 5 weeks) the item came. The gold chain attached to the shirt was rusted and the shirt looked worn.... I hate her... I hate eBay and i HATE paypal

6. In case u have get conned while buying on ebay you should report this matter to police and concerned department of e-bay plus you can told the bank to stop the payment and restrict yourself from buying through e-bay
7. Theres no problems buying with ebay, sellers and buyers are protected by seller/buyer protection from paypal, if your oreder is not sent you get the money back via paypal/ebay anyways. As long as you only use paypal as your payment you are totally covered with all transactions.
